Basic and Advanced Foot Care services:
The nurse providing Basic and Advanced Foot Care is an RN who attended specific training, has obtained a pertaining certificate and has the necessary skills to provide specific services and treatment for diabetic and geriatric clients which includes:
- Diabetic foot assessment and health teaching specific to basic and advanced ulcer risk prevention.
- Equip with foot care tools and supplies for cutting nails, callous and corn removal.
- Infection prevention and infection control standards as per Health Canada.
